Bassline Syndicate brings you BSR1969

On December 15th 1969, Metromedia Records release the Color Him Father single by The Winstons. Little did the band know at the time, that the B side contained one of the most influential drum breaks in modern music. The 4 bar drum break played by Gregory Coleman became heavily sampled by hip hop producers in the 1980's. It later made it's way into electronic music helping to define the genres of Jungle and Hardcore Breaks. In appreciation for the arrangement's influence on our culture, we urge everyone to donate to the Richard Spencer GoFundMe account by clicking here. The 1969 sample pack includes portions of the original Amen Break sampled from a mint condition 45, along with modified versions of the drum break. The independent drum parts are also included, allowing you to build your own breaks using the Kicks, Snares, and hats. The main folder contains .wav 24bit 44.1khz samples.

Included, you will also find a folder labeled Digitakt. This folder contains the same samples in .wav 16bit 48khz mono for Elektron Samplers.

These samples fall under fair use. This pack is not being shared for profit. Any musical creations made using the arrangement, will require approval from Richard L Spencer prior to distribution and/or release.
